northern beaches, sydney based but will travel for love

good vibes. real moments. crafted with intention

two of us, on film and digital - for a great day, not a great photoshoot

Moody Imagery is a photo and video team based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, shooting weddings across the Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands, South Coast and Sydney for couples who want to have the best time and still look incredible doing it.

We work with couples who care about the energy of the day. Good music playing. Great food on the table. Everyone relaxed and actually enjoying themselves. You want to be present, have fun, and trust that everything is being captured beautifully in the background.

We’ll guide you when it helps and get out of the way when it doesn’t. By the end of the night we’re usually on the dance floor with your mates, and you’ve forgotten we had cameras.

If you’re drawn to candid moments, natural connection, and imagery that feels timeless rather than overly styled, you’re in the right place. We create wedding photos and films that feel like memories you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Have the time of your life.
We’ll take care of the memories.

candid but classy. the party and the tears, in the same gallery.

A man and a woman sitting together on a vintage-style leather sofa outdoors at night, with a decorative arch of string lights above them. The man is dressed in a black outfit, has a beard, and is smiling while resting his head on his hand. The woman, wearing a large cowboy hat and a sleeveless top with tattoos visible on her arms, is leaning over him with a bright smile.
Three women dressed in yellow and white dresses, holding umbrellas, with one woman in a white dress holding a bouquet of flowers, seated and standing on a paved outdoor area with greenery in the background.
A bride and groom sharing a joyful moment, smiling at each other, while holding champagne glasses at their wedding reception, with a blurred background of shelves filled with bottles.
A perfume bottle labeled 'Byredo Mojave Ghost' placed on a rounded marble or stone surface with a dark background. Behind it, there are elegant beige or nude-colored high-heeled shoes with pearl-embellished ankle straps and pearl accents on the toe straps, and a sheer, pearl-embellished fabric.
A group of people at an outdoor event, centered around a young woman with a veil smiling and talking to an elderly woman with short white hair, wearing a floral blouse. The scene is in black and white.

ABOUT

ABOUT

your photographer, your videographer, and the two people most likely to cry at your vows

hey! we’re jas and jon!

We’re a wedding photo and video team who care just as much about how the day feels as how it looks.

Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, our approach is relaxed, intuitive, and people first. We’re there to create space for you to enjoy your day without feeling watched, rushed, or pulled out of the moment. When guidance helps, we’ll step in. When the energy is flowing, we’ll fade into the background and let it happen.

Our work is honest and emotive, with a nostalgic edge. We focus on connection, movement, and the natural rhythm of the day. The laughter, the nerves, the quiet moments, the chaos on the dance floor. Nothing stiff or overly styled. Just imagery that feels real, elevated, and true to you.

You don’t need to perform or pose. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to show up and be present with the people you love. We’ll take care of capturing it in a way that feels effortless and timeless.

Think of us as friends with fancy cameras. Calm when it’s chaos, switched on when it matters, and genuinely a bit too invested in whether your nan makes it to the dance floor. The kind of photos and films that don’t just show what happened, but drop you straight back into how it felt.

love letters

from legends

“It felt like we’d been friends for years, even though we’d met that morning.”

Not only did the photos and videos come out SO much better than I could have ever imagined (so many tears shed when we saw them) but they were the best people to have at your wedding. So calm, relaxed, cracking jokes at the right times to keep you feeling grounded. Our guests kept coming up to us saying ‘oh that’s so cool that your friends are photographers’.
